Hidden in affluent community in a rare outdoor setting. . .
Webster Cranberry, LLC. dates back to the 1800's. "The operator" has owned Webster since 2001. Currently there
are three crops grown on the land: cranberries, Christmas trees, and blueberries. Webster focuses mainly on cranberry
production but covers blueberries and Christmas trees during the off-season.
Webster Cranberry, LLC. maintains 115 acres of open space and woodland ( 89 in Norwell and 26 in Scituate
Massachusetts) in the middle of a thickly settled residential community. The bog system for Webster is about 40
acres. There is an additional 5 acres of blueberries and 7 acres of Christmas trees. The Christmas tree
operation consists of Frazier Furs and Canaan Furs. Neighbors and residents of Norwell seem to enjoy using the open
space maintained by the farm for recreation. Residents come to the farm to walk and
enjoy hawks, deer, fish, and many
species of birds. The operators of Webster are extremely mindful of public
presence in all of their farming operations.
